THE BFR TRAINING ACCELERATE RECOVERY/REHAB WORKSHOP

RECOVERY, REHABILITATION, POST-INJURY, POST-OPERATIVE 

THE BIG PICTURE

The BFR Training Accelerate Recovery/Rehab workshop is for Rehab Professionals only who want to have a deeper understanding of the power and science behind BFR and its application to the injured community.

This 1-day BFR Training Recovery/Rehab workshop provides a BFR Training Rehab Specialist Certification upon successful completion and passing of a written examination at the end of the workshop.

Rehab Professionals welcome to register:

  • Physical Therapists
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Athletic Trainers
  • Chiropractors
  • Students (Rehab)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Discuss importance of muscle protein synthesis within the injured, post-operative, elderly and neurological populations
  • Evaluate the benefits of BFR training and its secondary mechanism as it relates to tissue healing and return to activity
  • Discuss BFR in clinical practice within injured, post-operative, elderly and neurological populations
  • Discuss case studies and design/demonstrate a BFR treatment plan of care
  • Discuss marketing and business strategies and solutions to successfully integrate BFR into practice

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Pending 8 CEU hours from APTA state boards.

 

Physical Therapist/PTA  

This workshop is for 8 to 14.0 credit hours depending on workshop location*. 

Pending approval by the following APTA Chapters: CA (14hrs - Accelerate Performance & Recovery/Rehab), IL (8hrs - Accelerate Recovery/Rehab), MD (14hrs - Accelerate Performance & Recovery/Rehab), NY (8hrs - Accelerate Recovery/Rehab)

*No CEUs will be awarded for those who do not take both Accelerate Performance and Accelerate Recovery/Rehab in CA and MD.  

The following states accept courses approved by other APTA Chapters: AL, AK, AR, AZ, DC, DE, GA, HI, ID, IN, KS, KY, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NM, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, UT, VA, VT, WI, WY 

  • *CO: This course qualifies for up to 14.0 PDAs, Category 1. This course abides by regulatory guidelines for continuing education in Colorado for PTs and PTAs. 
  • *CT: This course abides by regulatory guidelines for continuing education for PTs and PTAs in Connecticut and qualifies for 14.0 CE hours. 
  • *IA: The Bureau of Professional Licensure does not pre-approve continuing education providers, sponsors or individual programs. It is the licensees’ responsibility to determine if the continuing education programs they attend meet the requirements of their professional licensure board. This course qualifies up to 14.0 CE hours. 
  • *MA: This course abides by regulatory guidelines for continuing education for PTs and PTAs in Massachusetts and qualifies up to 14.0 CE hours.
