The BFR Training Accelerate Performance Workshop is strictly for Fitness Professionals who want to use the power and science behind BFR to benefit themselves and/or their clients.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Discuss evidence-based exercise science concepts for building muscle mass and muscle strength.
  • Critically analyze to role of fatigue and its influence in muscle force production hypertrophy and strength.
  • Discuss the importance of muscle protein synthesis within athletic and active populations. 
  • Evaluate the benefits of BFR training & its primary mechanisms. 
  • Identify inclusion and exclusion criteria for determining good BFR candidates.
  • Demonstrate Proper BFR equipment handling and BFR cuff placement.
  • Assess and implement limb occlusions pressure (LOP) for safety and effectiveness.
  • Discuss case studies and design a BFR training program.

National Academy of Sports Medicine

The BFR PROS, LLC is recognized by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as an approved continuing education provider. This workshop has been approved for 0.8 CEUs, Provider #: 12,668.

American College of Sports Medicine 

The American College of Sports Medicine’s Professional Education Committee certifies that “The BFR Pros” meets the criteria for official ACSM Approved Provider status from (2019 – December 2022). Approved Providers and their content reflect the concepts of their respective organizations and do not necessarily represent the positions or policies of ACSM, Providership # 853280.

National Strength and Conditioning Association 

BFR Training Accelerate Performance has been approved for 0.8 NSCA CEUs in category A.

RECOVERY, REHABILITATION, POST-INJURY, POST-OPERATIVE 

THE BIG PICTURE

The BFR Training Accelerate Recovery/Rehab workshop is for Rehab Professionals only who want to have a deeper understanding of the power and science behind BFR and its application to the injured community. Rehab Professionals should strongly consider taking both the Accelerate Performance and Accelerate Recovery/Rehab workshops together to have a complete picture of working within the injured and healthy populations.

This 1-day BFR Training Recovery/Rehab workshop provides a BFR Training Rehab Specialist Certification upon successful completion and passing of a written examination at the end of the workshop.

  • Occupational Therapists
  • Athletic Trainers
  • Chiropractors
  • Students (Rehab)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Discuss importance of muscle protein synthesis within the injured, post-operative, elderly and neurological populations
  • Evaluate the benefits of BFR training and its secondary mechanism as it relates to tissue healing and return to activity
  • Discuss BFR in clinical practice within injured, post-operative, elderly and neurological populations
  • Discuss case studies and design/demonstrate a BFR treatment plan of care
  • Discuss marketing and business strategies and solutions to successfully integrate BFR into practice

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Approved for 8.0 CEU hours from NYPTA and IPTA state boards. 

Approved for 1.25 CEU hours by CPTA(#19-359)state board. 

 

Physical Therapist/PTA  

This workshop is for 8 to 14.0 credit hours depending on workshop location*.

  • *CA: This course abides by regulatory guidelines for continuing education for PTs and PTAs in California(CPTA #19-359) and qualifies up to 1.25 CE hours. 
  • *CO: This course qualifies for up to 14.0 PDAs, Category 1. This course abides by regulatory guidelines for continuing education in Colorado for PTs and PTAs. 
  • *CT: This course abides by regulatory guidelines for continuing education for PTs and PTAs in Connecticut and qualifies for 14.0 CE hours.
