THE BIG PICTURE

The BFR Accelerate Performance Training Workshop is strictly for Fitness Professionals who want to use the power and science behind BFR to benefit themselves and/or their clients.

Professionals welcome to register:

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Discuss evidence based exercise science concepts for building muscle mass and muscle strength.
  • Critically analyze to role of fatigue and its influence in muscle force production hypertrophy and strength.
  • Discuss the importance of muscle protein synthesis within athletic and active populations. 
  • Evaluate the benefits of BFR training & its primary mechanisms. 
  • Identify inclusion and exclusion criteria for determining good BFR candidates.
  • Demonstrate Proper BFR equipment handling and BFR cuff placement.
  • Assess and implement limb occlusions pressure (LOP) for safety and effectiveness.
  • Discuss case studies and design a BFR training program.
CONTINUING EDUCATION

National Academy of Sports Medicine

The BFR PROS, LLC is recognized by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as an approved continuing education provider. This workshop has been approved for 0.8 CEUs, Provider #: 12,668.

American College of Sports Medicine

The American College of Sports Medicine’s Professional Education Committee certifies that “The BFR Pros” meets the criteria for official ACSM Approved Provider status from (2019 – December 2022). Approved Providers and their content reflect the concepts of their respective organizations and do not necessarily represent the positions or policies of ACSM, Providership # 853280.

National Strength and Conditioning Association

BFR Training Accelerate Performance has been approved for 0.8 NSCA CEUs in category A.

BOC (Athletic Training)*

* No BOC credit will be awarded for completion of just the BFR Training Accelerate Performance Workshop. Combined with Accelerate Recovery/Rehab BFR Training Workshop (on the following day), these workshops are pending for 14 hours of CEU approval.

ACCELERATE REHAB WORKSHOP

RECOVERY, REHABILITATION, POST-INJURY, POST-OPERATIVE 

THE BIG PICTURE

The BFR Training Accelerate Recovery/Rehab workshop is for Rehab Professionals who want to have a deeper understanding of the power and science behind BFR and its application to the injured community. Rehab Professionals are encouraged to take both the Accelerate Performance and Accelerate Recovery/Rehab workshop together to have a complete picture of working within the healthy population and the rehab population.

This 1 day rehab workshop provides a BFR Rehab Specialist Certification.

 

Rehab Professionals welcome to register:

  • Physical Therapist
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Athletic Trainers
  • Chiropractors
  • Students (Rehab)

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Discuss importance of muscle protein synthesis within the injured, post operative, elderly and neurological populations
  • Evaluate the benefits of BFR training and its secondary mechanism as it relates to tissue healing and return to activity
  • Discuss BFR in clinical practice within injured, post operative, elderly and neurological populations
  • Discuss case studies and design/demonstrate a BFR treatment plan of care
  • Discuss marketing and business strategies and solutions to successfully integrate BFR into practice
CONTINUING EDUCATION

Physical Therapist/PTA  

This workshop is approved for 8.0 CEU hours from NYPTA  and IPTA state boards.

This workshop is pending approval for 8.0 to 14.0 credit hours depending on workshop location*. 

Pending approval by the following APTA Chapters: CA (14hrs - Accelerate Performance & Recovery/Rehab). 

*No CEUs will be awarded for those who do not take both Accelerate Performance and Accelerate Recovery/Rehab in CA.

The following states accept courses approved by other APTA Chapters: AL, AK, AR, AZ, CT, DC, DE, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NM, NY, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, UT, VA, VT, WI, WY 

  • *CO: This course qualifies for up to 14.0 PDAs, Category 1. This course abides by regulatory guidelines for continuing education in Colorado for PTs and PTAs. 
  • *CT: This course abides by regulatory guidelines for continuing education for PTs and PTAs in Connecticut and qualifies for 14.0 CE hours. 
  • *IA: The Bureau of Professional Licensure does not pre-approve continuing education providers, sponsors or individual programs. It is the licensees’ responsibility to determine if the continuing education programs they attend meet the requirements of their professional licensure board. This course qualifies up to 14.0 CE hours. 
  • *MA: This course abides by regulatory guidelines for continuing education for PTs and PTAs in Massachusetts and qualifies up to 14.0 CE hours. 
  • *MD: This course has been approved by the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners for continuing education for PTs and PTAs in Maryland and qualifies up to 1.4 CEUs.
  • *ME: This course abides by regulatory guidelines for continuing education for PTs and PTAs in Maine and qualifies up to 14.0 CE hours. 
  • *NE: This course abides by regulatory guidelines for continuing education for PTs and PTAs in Nebraska and qualifies up to 14.0 CE hours. 
  • *NH: This course abides by regulatory guidelines for continuing education for PTs and PTAs in New Hampshire (RSA 328-A) and qualifies up to 14.0 CE hours. 
  • *WA: This course abides by regulatory guidelines for continuing education for PTs and PTAs in Washington and qualifies up to 14.0 CE hours.
