THE BFR PROS METHOD

Think BFR is BFR no matter where you learn it? Think again! The BFR Pros Method to working with this cutting edge rehab and training modality teaches you both the art and the science of Blood Flow Restriction Training.

Pillars

We break down BFR progressions through The Pillars of BFR - Cell Swelling/IPC, Aerobic Training, Resistance Training, and Return to Sport Application - so that you, your patients or clients, and referring physicians can have a clear indication of your ideal starting point for BFR use, as well as measurable progress markers.

Pressure

The amount of applied pressure to the limb using BFR training has been a a highly contentious topic in the research. Larger applied pressures tend to reduce the oxygen content in the muscle to a greater degree than lesser applied pressures but at a cost of significant increases in effort and discomfort in the exercising limb which could hinder longterm compliance to BFR training. At The BFR Pros, we teach that pressure is a tool to achieve a desired goal and that -like most things in life - moderation is likely the best way to maximize the benefits of BFR training for a large majority of the population.

Perception

Our instructors recognize that patient and client perception is an influential factor when it comes to the success of incorporating BFR into a treatment or training plan. In our courses, you’ll learn our breakdown of client avatars, the hurdles you might have to overcome with different client types and how to approach BFR with each one.
